What is the main goal for this project?

Housing is a big issue for younger generations. We have heard many young people complaining about the affordability of housing and that they will never be able to buy anything. It’s very true that house prices have surged to a point that it’s extremely difficult for young people to buy one. As soon as they were able to save up some down payment the house prices had gone up again. It’s like trying to chase and get on a speeding train forever.

The Jumpstart Home and Community Project is to explore the feasibility of creating affordable homes with sustainability in mind for young people to jumpstart their real estate ownership journey. The project will explore in multiple facets which include urban planning, architecture, landscape, the feasibility with city urban planning, social aspect and sustainability.

Is it possible to create a community of smaller detached homes that are cost efficient, environmentally and socially sustainable which the city will support? That is the goal of the project.
