We are looking to have students conduct Data analytics on our company. 

Our Goal for the Project:

Create workflow, processes, and tools to take data via cellular connection/remote storage to a visual display (based on end users’ information needs) for our end user via a web-based (or potentially mobile app) platform.

What we expect students will be working on:

• Design and implement complete workflow needed to upload, store, analyze and display remotely captured data
• Create data model based on user requirements and sample data input files
• Algorithms to transfer “comma delimited” data into database
• Formulate strategy on storage (cloud? Local server? Etc.)
• Formulate data analysis tools based on user requirements
• Provide (and implement) end user recommendation on data analysis and visualization tools (HTML dashboards)
• Optional: formulate strategy to take html dashboards data into a mobile app (there is some sort of tool that can do this)
• Create tools to allow users to filter data through visualization tool
• Create tools to allow data display and trending/graphing for specified times
• Major focus on data analysis and data visualization. The data must be presented in format that meets end users’ needs. **Please note most end users (O&G engineers/managers) are not convinced on the benefits of data analysis and dashboards***
• High-level recommendations on integration of data with other captured oilfield data on location
