Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

We want students to help us develop a digital marketing strategy & event marketing plan for the Canadian RegTech Association's 'RegTech Awards' event that will take place in November 2022.

We will be looking to engage with the following stakeholders with the marketing strategy / event plan;

  • Technology companies with innovative solutions for the financial services sector in Canada
  • Financial institutions that would potentially uses these solutions
  • The Regulatory Supervisors that oversee the Banking & Investment industry in Canada

The main questions we’d like students to help us answer are the following:

  • Types of content that we could create to attract awareness about the event for the 3 key stakeholders above?
  • What social media channels should we utilize?
  • What budget is appropriate for advertising?
  • What messaging should we use?
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Final deliverables should include a Executive level report with recommendations on how to best deliver against the marketing plan for the event

It would also be appreciated if we could have a presentation with an opportunity for us to ask questions of the students that worked on the project deliverables

We would also like the students to help us develop a 'Sponsorship Kit' that we could use to enlist sponsors for the event

How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will work closely with myself & 1-2 other representatives of the CDN RegTech Association

We could have a combination of online meetings at an agreed upon frequency.

I'm thinking we could create a slack channel, use a Google Group etc;
