Project Examples

Our students will be engaging in Summer projects as part of their Masters Education that begin in May/June 2021 and will run til Aug/Sep 2021.

Our students are trained in Microsoft Power BI for data visualisation and modelling, the Orange Data-Mining platform for Text Analytics for Business, Python, and Google Analytics for data analysis, predictive modelling/machine learning, and visualisation.

Example projects include, but are not limited to:

  • Analysis of text responses from staff on important topics, such as workplace changes, or disruptions in products, the marketplace, or stakeholder requirements;
  • Marketing Analysis of large textual data sets to explore sentiments, key topics discussed, to analyse the impact of your own and competitor's products;
  • Creation of company KPIs and visualisations of data outputs from business processes
  • We can also offer teamwork analysis, for organisations who have bigger projects that might require skills in Business Analytics, Data Science and Marketing Analytics. For such project work, we would work with you to scope an approach that uses a team of more than one student across the three programmes.

Be available for an introductory session at the beginning of the project (in person or virtual).

Companies should ideally provide data (not necessarily clean) prior to the beginning of the class.
