Beginning in the Fall, 4th-year and graduate-level students will!

- Deliverables

Students will need to demonstrate that they have received real-world experience with an industry partner. The industry partner will be actively engaged with the students as a supervisor, mentor and coach. Students will provide:
- A 10 - 15 page report, explaining their problem statement and objectives, the methods they followed, The model they developed, and Their results;
- A 10-15 minute presentation
- The model(s) developed (in form of nD models), as well as the outputs generated (such as simulation animations; analytics; renders; etc.)
Project Examples
Project Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Assess requirements for construction industry Building Information Modeling (BIM) planning
- Analyze BIM processes in integrated project delivery from project conceptualization to facilities management
- Conduct project risk analysis using BIM processes
- Integrate knowledge of various suites of BIM applications into project design, construction and facilities management
- CAD Production and 3D Modelling activities
- Project Management and Delivery Teams
- Data Collection and Documentation
- Converting site, architectural and structural 2D drawings to 3D models
- 4D 5D simulations
- Create renderings
- Site logistics and construction methodology
Example Skills Required of Students:
- Ability to write BIM Execution Plans
- Understanding design, construction and operation phases and alignment
Software:
- Revit (Architecture, Structure, MEP)
- Navisworks
- Dynamo
