Students explore the determinants and consequences of behavior in a variety of organizations. Topics include, but are not limited to, personality, power, conflict, leadership, team dynamics, communications, and culture.

They:

  • Assess the causes and consequences of individual behaviors within organizations.
  • Explain how motivational techniques can be used.
  • Explain how effective groups and teams can be developed within organizations.
  • Describe how power and politics impact organizational behavior.
  • Explain how organizational culture can impact individual and group performance.
  • Analyze performance implications of behavioral dynamics at individual, interpersonal, and organizational levels of analysis.
