Project Examples

Requirements

Students can complete a substantial web design & e-commerce project for your organization over the placement period. We suggest providing a starting project, but as the placement goes on there may be other duties or projects the student is asked to complete as well. Providing a central project creates structure for the internship, and gives the student (and company) a tangible goal.

Bishop's University students can complete projects in a number of Web Design & E-Commerce areas. Project examples may include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting research on the best website payment platforms.
  • Conducting research on pricing options for various tool rental.
  • Conducting research on other DIY rental service companies.
  • Conducting research on depreciation and usage rates of tools.
  • Developing a functional website with credit-card payment and trigger technical response.
  • Conducting research on best practices regarding video tutorials.
  • Filming and editing 5 x 3-minute tutorials on the process.
  • Conducting research and developing techniques to market to new potential clients.
