Do you have a business strategy challenge you want to tackle? In this project, student-consultant working in teams will audit, analyze, research, and then provide actionable recommendations on an organizational challenge that you feel could use some improvements.

Our students come from all backgrounds in the Business department including HR, Marketing, Accounting, and more!

I will be confirming client projects in November/December. Our students will be reviewing these client projects starting in January, and we will confirm the student (or group of students) that choose to work on your project by January 8th.

  1. 10-15 minute presentation of key findings and recommendations

Project Examples

Beginning in January, student teams will conduct an audit of a particular challenge in your business of your choosing. Based on your goals and input, the students will review, analyze and provide actionable recommendations for improvement or will provide insight about a new initiative they recommend.

Students will bring an outside perspective and up-to-date knowledge on business best practices to your business to allow you to improve employee satisfaction and efficiency, and reduce risk.

Project examples might include but are not limited to:

  • HR: Training & Development Programs (excluding Recruitment); Employee Retention; Organizational Culture Plan; Organizational Structure Audit and Review; and Use of Contingent Workers
  • Accounting
  • Marketing Communications: Social media marketing; customer behaviour; client outreach; SEO strategy and communications
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Provide an opportunity for students to present their work and receive feedback.

Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.

Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions and participate in a structured interview.
