Project Summary: 

Student teams from Point University will identify internal and external organizational pressures to develop a research-based change management plan for your organization. Student teams will work on one project during the semester to deliver a change management plan that provides strategic direction for your organization.


What can our learners do for your company?

Students in groups of 4-8 will work with your company to evaluate your organizational change needs and provide actionable recommendations based on their research and analysis.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

What would your company receive at the end of the project?

Deliverables are negotiable and will seek to align the needs of the learners and the organization. 


The final project deliverables could include but are not limited to:

  1. A 10-15 minute presentation addressing key findings and recommendations
  2. A detailed report including research, analysis, proposed solutions
Project Examples

Students will develop a strategy based on one of four change management models based on your organizational needs. Student teams will address the change management needs for your company and offer a plan to address key organizational needs.


Project Goals:

  • My goal as an instructor is for students to learn how to apply change theories and strategies to real-world projects.
  • I will provide students with organizational development theory and change management concepts within the course content. I will also provide general guidance throughout the project. The project deliverables will be the responsibility of the students.


Project examples include but are not limited to:

  • Apply research-based change management models to your organizational needs
  • Evaluate stakeholder engagement and potential challenges to address
  • Assess sources of organizational change pertaining to key areas such as human resource management, organizational culture, or strategy
  • Determine the effectiveness of proposed change management solutions
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

A phone call with the instructor for a brief introduction to the organization and to review the details of the project's scope.

A management team member available to respond to student emails or phone calls throughout the duration of the project.
