Students pursuing a BSc degree in Computing and Information Systems at Athabasca University have to complete a required capstone project under the course titled COMP495 - Computer and Information Systems Projects. Students are competent in several areas of interest including Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Databases, Networking, and Human-Computer Interaction. Students can engage, over a period of 6 months (COMP495) or 12 months (COMP495 + COMP496), in a custom project to help solve and derive insights about a challenge faced by a prospective company partner.
