Overview
Learner goals and capabilities

This course focuses on the principles of marketing within a supply chain from a global perspective. Students will develop a marketing strategy to enhance supply chain management strategy of the organization. The focus is on the international marketing strategies and the decision process for international shipping. The impact of the greening of transportation to add value to the marketing function is also detailed.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Written project and/or presentation.

Project Examples

The project objective is to help your organization improve existing or offering new marketing strategy and enhance your supply chain management and logistics approaches in a global business environment. Students in teams of 5-6 will work with your organization to analyze the problem of your choosing and develop actionable recommendations or plans for improvements.

Project areas that students can complete may include, but are not limited to:

· Develop a mission statement and an international marketing strategy to enhance the Supply Chain Management and Logistics function within the organization.

· Research and assess foreign market and competitors with emphasis on pricing, distribution, promotion, and the decision process for international shipping.

· International business plan development.
