Your team contract template is divided into three major sections:
1. Establishing team procedures
2. Identifying expectations
3. Specifying the consequences for failing to follow these procedures and fulfill these expectations
The Team Contract will help your group effectively manage the project workload and complete a high quality deliverable. It will also establish your team's agreed upon expectations and plan of action if any member is not honouring their commitment to the project work.

During your onboarding meeting with your project supervisor, please discuss and complete the project agreement.
This agreement will document the agreed upon project scope and deliverables, define what is not in scope.
Amendments
Both parties can agree to amend the project deliverables as the project progresses so long as the project deliverables remain within the knowledge, skill, and abilities of the student(s) and continues to align with topic and theory of the course the project is occurring in, and there is:
- Mutual Agreement: Changes must be agreed upon by both parties.
- Written Documentation: All amendments must be documented in writing.
- Feasibility Check: Ensure changes are feasible and within the project’s original parameters.

sustainable development project planning project proposals communicationPartnership Opportunity – Students from MacEwan University's School of Continuing Education (SCE) are looking for community partners who are interested in engaging with sustainability, specifically contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Unsure of where to start, or have limited capacity to get your actions started? Then this call out is for your organization.
To learn more about the UN SDGs, please check out the short video An Introduction to the UN SDGs (1:57).
In the fall semester, sustainability students from different backgrounds and areas of study in learning about sustainable challenges will work with community partners. Students will use a holistic approach, project planning, evaluation, and communications related to sustainability challenges to support your organization's desire to contribute to a sustainable future.
Note: Students will use all the experience and learnings gained in this course to consult, plan, and execute your project.
What you get…
- A systems map— Think of a systems map as a type of detailed concept map that can be used to analyze a selected SDG and how your organization can contribute to success.
- A project or proposal for your organization to implement—This project/proposal will include at least one SDG. Please note that while general budgets will be considered and documented where possible, the course does not equip students to develop detailed budget plans.
- Depending on the SDG chosen— Some community partners may receive in addition to the above two pieces could receive a develop a presentation (format to be determined) highlighting key parts of the proposal or plan and how it will support your organization in contributing to the SDGs

Examples of Suitable Project Topics
Consider the following when deciding on your project submission:
- Are you interested in contributing more to gender equity, environmental sustainability, and cultural vitality but do not know where to start?
- Do you have an idea of how your organization can contribute to a sustainable future but cannot find enough time to get started?
- Do you have an interest in sustainability or have a sustainability challenge that can be linked to the SDGs?
- Are you interested in one of the seventeen UN SDGs goals and want to engage with sustainability, but you have limited capacity to get your action start?
- Would you like our students to help you identify where you can have a sustainable impact?
