Working with small teams, student consultant(s) in their final year of the Computer Science program at MacEwan will work with one to two organizations to design and complete a specified project over 13 weeks. We are seeking potential partners and projects by August 5, 2024.

Project Examples

To name a few projects to solve a new or existing challenge:

  • Are you worried about how secure your information is?
  • Did you need your systems/network reviewed, and recommendations?
  • Do you have security needs that need to be addressed?
  • Is your e-mail system secure?
  • Are you an easy pray for ransomware?
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.

Community partners will need to ensure that all data is available by the start date of the course.

Availability to meet with your student consultant at least three times throughout the term.

Prompt response when feedback is required (48 hours).

Community Partner is available for ‘the pitch’ and final presentation.

Provide a qualitative assessment at the end of the project (form to provided by the instructor).

Be available for a quick phone call with the Experiential Learning Facilitator to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.
