Students from West Texas A&M will explore writing formats and styles associated with scientific publications while addressing trending topics in various agricultural issues. Individual student teams will be able to help your organization with formal writing techniques as well as explore ways to explain science information in a way the general public can understand.

Project Examples

During this course, students will be writing a series of articles that are newsworthy to the field of agriculture. These articles will be timely, prominent, and significant human interest stories related to agriculture. By the end of the course, students will be publishing one of these articles for a major press outlet which could include a magazine, blog or newspaper.

Students taking this course will be to help your organization in many different areas Including but not limited to :

  • Writing in AP style and structure
  • Synthesize research into summaries
  • Understand the publication process and format research for journal articles.
  • Ability to understand your audience and how to tailor writing to them
  • Communicate Science to an audience by synthesizing research.

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
