Virtual Internship/Work Term Opportunity

SFU's full-time MBA program is 16 months, including a minimum 4-month internship/work term at the end of the program. The final term of the MBA is an opportunity for students to apply their skills in a real-world setting through a supervised work term under the guidance of a knowledgeable, experienced manager. Its purpose is to provide each student with professional work experience related to their program of study. The work term is a significant component of the MBA program and is designed to offer students from various academic backgrounds an opportunity to expand their interdisciplinary experience at the practical level.

Students are available for full-time work from January 21 - May 21. Students are looking for paid internships. The average salary for MBA Interns is $4500/month for 4 months.

Students are open to working in groups (if company is able to pay salary for all students) or individually .

Deliverables will vary depending on the scope of the project. The student should complete 640 hours with your organization by the end of April, 2022.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, if required, student placements can occur virtually.

Project Examples

Students can complete a substantial project for your organization over the placement period. We suggest providing a starting project, but as the placement goes on there may be other duties or projects the student is asked to complete as well. Providing a central project creates a structure for the internship/work term, and gives the student (and company) a tangible goal.

  • Market Research/Market Analysis
  • Brand Strategy and Development
  • Marketing/Digital Marketing/Social Media Strategy
