Requirements

Groups of student sales consultants will work with a start-up company with 10 to 25 employees that need assistance in expanding its sales execution strategies and actions. The team will perform internal and external research to quickly understand the business, the products and services, and the competitive landscape. The goal is to deliver sales strategies and actionable sales deliverables to senior management that will enhance ways to target, contact, qualify, develop and close sales, including related follow-up activities. Potential project scopes include, but are not limited to: 

  • Sales strategy planning
  • Defining your target market/market opportunity
  • Evaluating/recommending outreach strategies
  • Developing sales-worth value props and stories
  • Identifying top customer profiles
  • Sales target/goal-setting
  • How to measure/monitor your success
  • Stakeholder interviews (channel partners, suppliers, customers)

Additional company criteria

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Your company must be a startup with approx. 10-25 employees

CEO/President/Sales Leaders of the start-up need to meet with student team to share details about the company's value-proposition and key product/service benefits

Work with up to 2 groups to provide more value from multiple perspectives

Provide copies of all sales collateral

Be responsive to periodic emails to answer any questions or concerns that the student(s) may have as they progress
