Seize your opportunity to work with faculty and students from around the world to develop solutions to your supply chain problems. The students in this class are completing the Supply Chain Management Post Graduate Certificate program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Moose Jaw.

We are looking to work with an organization who has a supply chain related problem or question to provide a work-integrated learning experience for our students and make a positive impact in an organization.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

· Phase 1 – Students and/or faculty will meet with organization representative(s) to identify problem(s) and/or questions(s) and prepare a detailed action plan for preparing alternative solutions.

· Phase 2 –Students will work on deliverables outlined in the action plan. Students and/or faculty will periodically communicate with organization representative(s) as needed to complete project tasks.

· Phase 3 - The final deliverables will be agreed upon in Phase 1 and will vary by project. Generally, your organization will receive a report, presentation, or action plan with recommendations.

Project Examples

Work with our faculty and students to solve supply chain related problems and questions with groups of students from our Supply Chain Management Post Graduate Certificate program as a part of their capstone project.

Sourcing Top Talent: The students will be working on real time problems and questions faced by industry members and provide them with alternative solutions.

Sample projects include, but are not limited to:

  • Integrating sustainable practices into the supply chain ( Sustainable Supply Chain Management)
  • Improving workflow in warehouse using RFID
  • Sourcing strategies and challenges for improvement in procurement methods

Characteristics of Students:

  • Represent a variety of disciplines within supply chain including procurement, demand planning, forecasting, logistics, inventory control and operations management
  • Have a sound knowledge of supply chain management and some have experience in supply chain
  • Are educated, with all of them having completed an undergraduate degree and around 50% having completed engineering degrees
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Be available for a quick phone call with the organizer to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the experience.

Be willing to work with 5-6 student groups; you can communicate through team communication leads and the instructor of the course

Present your project to students either online or in a detailed written briefing.

Minimum of 2 interactions with the students in-person or remotely (approximately 2 hours over the duration of the project).

Provide a Riipen skill rating on student performance upon completion of the project.

Provide feedback on up to 5 deliverables.
