Overview
- Learner goals and capabilities

Master's students with STEM backgrounds will apply business concepts to analyze a technology product or strategy within your business and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Expected outcomes and deliverables

The final project deliverables should meet the mutually agreed upon objectives set by you and the team.
Deliverables generally include:
- Written document or deliverable deck.
- Oral presentation.
- Training manual.
- Excel spreadsheet models.
- Other.
Project Examples
Beginning this February, Master's of Technology Management students will spend 250 hours per group of five applying business concepts to analyze a technology strategy or product within your business.
Based on their research, analysis, and the information that you provide, the student-consultant groups will provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
Example problems include, but are not limited to:
Problem: You don't know if you should invest time, money and other resources into your new technology, invention, or innovation is unknown.
Solution: The students perform a feasibility analysis that will provide a go, no-go, or undetermined result.
Problem: You don't know which market offers the best opportunity for your your new technology, invention, or innovation.
Solution: The students will work with you to develop a market analysis and a marketing strategy designed to meet your objectives.
Problem: You have a problem within your organization that you suspect can be resolved with technology but you aren't sure which choice to select or how to implement the solution once you have made your choice.
Solution: The students will work closely with you to develop analytical techniques that help you select the best solution for your organization. After making your selection, the teams may even help you integrate the solution into your organization.
Problem: You are unsure of what strategies to implement to bring a new technology product to market.
Solution: The student-consultants will assist you with new product development, launch strategy, and business process optimization.
Additional company criteria
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
Be available for a quick phone call with the organizer to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the experience.
Provide a dedicated contact who will be available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students questions or provide additional information.
Minimum of 2-4 interactions with the students in-person or remotely (approximately 4-6 hours over the duration of the project).
