management strategy marketing research analysisStarting January 6th, student teams of 4 will spend a combined 160 hours working with their industry client on this Strategic Management Consulting Project.
Throughout the project duration, students will collaborate to provide free business consulting services to businesses or organizations in order to make a positive contribution to the British Columbia community.
Students, in conjunction with the client will develop and provide:
- A scope of work document
- Do primary and secondary market research
- Provide a situation analysis of the business environment and problem
- Have a client status update meeting half way through the term
- Summarize key learnings and observations in a final report
- Provide recommendations, an action plan and implementations timeline to the business

Project Examples
This courses provides students with applied and experiential learning opportunities that build off foundational business skills that have already been acquired, including: economics, organizational behaviour, accounting, operations, entrepreneurship, strategy, marketing, and business development.
Areas of focus may include, but are not limited to:
- New market entry
- New product offerings
- Streamlining operations
- Organizational structure
- Business development
- Strategic planning
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
