Overview
Learner goals and capabilities

Groups of 1-3 students will write a program that you can distribute on multiple computers. They will then analyze the efficiency of running the program on one computer versus multiple computers.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

At project completion, you’ll receive:

  • A 5 to 10 page report on the design of the code
  • Experimental setup
  • Analysis of results
Project Examples

This project will result in cost savings for your business. Optimizing the program deployment will help reduce labor for distributed code writing and future iterations of the rollout.

The student group will:

  • Write a functional distributed code.
  • Make automated scripts to deploy the code on multiple machines.
  • Perform exhaustive analysis and testing of the results prior to production deployment.

All deliverables will include a detailed and indexed report on how the student planned and implemented the project.

Additional company criteria

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Provide a cloud service where the code could run on multiple machines.

Provide a dataset (can be sample/generated) for code.
