Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

The main goal for the project is to discover contact information for U.S. nonprofits advocating for abused and neglected children and provide them with free Google Ad Grants. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

- Researching and identifying U.S. nonprofits advocating for abused and neglected children.

- Collecting contact information for the identified nonprofits.

-If it fits, working with KARA to create a proposal for providing free Google Ad Grants to the identified nonprofits and contacting them is also possible.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:

- A list of U.S. nonprofits advocating for abused and neglected children, along with their contact information.

- A proposal for providing free Google Ad Grants to the identified nonprofits.

- Documentation of the outreach and communication with the nonprofits.

Final deliverables:

- A final report including the list of identified nonprofits, contact information, and the proposal.

- A presentation outlining the research process, proposal, and outreach efforts.

How will you support learners in completing the project?

We work with students through weekly Zoom meetings, email communication, and KARA's social media to develop and work out a strategy. The video attached outlines the approach we are using for CASAs across the country.

What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

In order to complete this project, students can self-teach, but it is beneficial to be familiar with:

- Research and data collection.

- Proposal writing and communication.

- Nonprofit advocacy and social services knowledge.

- Marketing and advertising concepts.

Nice to haves for students include

- Experience with nonprofit outreach and grant writing.

Students will be expected to research and learn more about the above as the project goes along.
