A healthcare management capstone project is a culminating academic or practical experience that allows students in the CBU healthcare management program to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired throughout their coursework to a real-world healthcare issue or challenge. The capstone project serves as a comprehensive demonstration of a student's understanding of healthcare management concepts and their ability to solve complex problems in the field.

This course provides students with the opportunity to work on a hands-on project in a relevant business & management topic area. This is an experiential course and it is designed to foster critical thinking and real-time decision making, with students applying their knowledge and skills to the challenge at hand. We are beginning the Fall semester, completion will be by April 2024.We have a confidentiality agreement with all “clients”. In addition, the work becomes the intellectual property of the “client” so we don’t share it with others- it is theirs.

This Capstone Project provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate competency on the key concepts of business analytics. Students will integrate knowledge gained throughout the program - including leadership and management principals, analytical skills, data visualization, data mining, and statistics – to complete the capstone project. By taking this course, students will be guided through the process of developing their soft (communications) and hard (Technical) skills while delivering a business analytics project to support decision making in organizations. The emphasis will be on the application of methodologies and analytical tools to solve real-world problems in R&D, marketing, supply chain, healthcare, finance and/or other disciplines.
