The Career Lab: Student Consultancy Programme offers our valued partners the opportunity to explore a live challenge faced by your organisation whilst providing meaningful work experience to a small group of students. Students spend a combined 100 hours on a project brief set by you (the client) and provide a business-style presentation to showcase their findings.There is no financial obligation, the research can be carried out remotely, and the time commitment is very low. Priority will be given to projects that work towards the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.Further information, including testimonials, project ideas, template briefs and how to register, is available at: Student Consultancy Programme - Information for Organisations 2023The deadline to submit an application is 9 December, however early applications are advised. Looking to elevate your business, and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from the University of Sussex to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one or more projects over the partnership period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.Students are introduced to the different levels of behaviour in the workplace, the role of leadership and management, and the causes of organisational change. Content is structured around four key areas: the individual, the group, the organisation and society. Students will start off by exploring the nature and contexts of organisations and management practice in the private, public and voluntary sector, then they will examine different theories and approaches on leadership and ways to manage people, and finally, how the process and drivers of change, and the responses of staff and other stakeholders, play an integral part in organisational life and improving performance.

Drawing on practical examples and theories, this module grants the students to develop key management skills and tools to further contribute to the industry.
