Rhett Rasmussen – Software Engineer & Storyteller

I am a software engineer with a passion for problem-solving, innovation, and storytelling. With a background in construction and real estate, I transitioned into tech through Coding Temples bootcamp, where I collaborated on various projects with my cohort. Since then, I have focused on refining my technical skills and pursuing new opportunities in software development.

Beyond coding, I am a writer and worldbuilder, creating immersive narratives across dark fantasy, dieselpunk, and post-apocalyptic settings. My work explores rich histories, complex characters, and the forces that shape their worlds. Whether developing compelling stories or tackling real-world challenges, I approach every project with creativity and precision.

With a hands-on mindset and a strategic approach, I bring problem-solving expertise from multiple disciplines to both software engineering and storytelling. I am currently seeking opportunities in the tech industry while building a new home in Washington and continuing to refine my craft as a writer.
