Cyberus Systems is a Maryland-based cybersecurity startup offering 24/7 Managed Security Services (MSSP) to regulated industries across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region. Our core focus is implementing Zero Trust Architecture and delivering proactive cybersecurity solutions to healthcare, finance, manufacturing, education, and federal organizations.

We seek motivated, business-savvy interns to help accelerate our client acquisition, sales outreach, and growth strategy. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity sales and business development at a fast-paced startup protecting some of the most targeted industries in the region.

To support Cyberus Systems’ growth by executing a targeted sales and marketing campaign that includes cold calling, email outreach, and business development strategies to generate qualified leads and secure cybersecurity assessment bookings.

Deliverables

1. Outbound Sales Outreach

  • Develop a target list of potential clients in regulated sectors (e.g., clinics, legal firms, manufacturers).
  • Craft and deliver cold calls and cold emails using tools such as Apollo.io or HubSpot.
  • Follow up on inbound leads and book discovery or assessment appointments.

2. Sales Playbook Development

  • Create call scripts, email templates, and objection-handling guides tailored to buyer personas (e.g., IT Director at a small clinic).

3. Local Market Penetration Strategy
