Overview
Details

We are excited to announce that our second group of Digital Health Graduate Certificate students at Mohawk College are seeking potential projects for their Capstone course starting in the fall (September 2023)!

The Capstone projects will be completed in groups of 2 to 4 students over two semesters starting in the fall semester (September 2023) and concluding at the end of the winter semester (April 2024). The fall course will focus on students choosing a project, collecting requirements, formulating a design, doing some project planning and building a very rudimentary prototype system. During the winter semester, students will complete the implementation, test and deploy their final projects.

Please note that I will be taking some vacation during the months of July and August with intermittent access to Riipen so I may be delayed in replying to project requests.

Deliverables

Requirements Document, Design Document, Prototype System or Mock-up (Fall semester - First Course)

Final System, Operating Instructions, Project Demonstration Video (Winter semester - Second Course)

Project Examples

We are expecting students from a wide variety of academic backgrounds (health, business, technology, etc.) so interdisciplinary projects would probably be best. Specifically, projects in the Systems Analysis, Business Processes, Data Analytics, Application Development using Low Code or No Code tools, policies and procedures, training and logistics areas of digital health are likely to be good candidates. To help determine project suitability and/or to find out more about this program, please refer to our Program Page and/our Program of Studies page. Also, please feel free to reach out to me directly for more information.
