Virtual Internship Opportunity

Bring on one or more students from London Metropolitan University to be your virtual interns! Students will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the internship period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.

Students are available for 70 hours of placement starting in September 2023.

This is an unpaid for-credit experience.

Deliverables

Deliverables will vary depending on the scope of the project. The student should complete a minimum of 70 hours with your organisation by January 2024.

Project Examples

Students can complete a substantial project for your organisation over the placement period. We suggest providing a starting project, but as the placement goes on there may be other duties or projects the student is asked to complete as well. Providing a central project creates structure for the internship, and gives the student (and company) a tangible goal.

Program outline

Students who are in their 2nd year of study can look for placements in Autumn, Spring, and Summer. Students have the opportunity to apply classroom concepts to the challenges of business life as they gain valuable, relevant work experience as an intern student within your organisation. Students are available from the following programs:

  • Marketing
  • Fashion Marketing
  • Beauty Marketing
  • PR
  • Advertising
  • Communications

Students can complete tasks in any of the following areas: corporate communications, media, public relations, direct and digital marketing, branding, advertising and copywriting, branding, buying, retailing, and merchandising.

Recruitment process

  • Please submit a project to this page describing your Virtual Internship opportunity, if you are able to provide a position.
  • Students will apply for Internship positions with employers whose projects are approved.
