What is the main goal for this project?

Our company has a world-wide mission for making the use of intuition mainstream, personally and professionally with the first of two books, Tapping Into The Power of Your Intuition, Guidance To Reach Beyond Limits For Exceptional Results. The second book will be the results of our mission at its highest level of success.

The main problem we are trying to solve is to create a system for advanced bookings of events for presentations, book-signings, and book sales.

We would like to collaborate with students to research book sellers, coffee shops, libraries and the like, according to a travel schedule and the following demographic criteria. Also to conduct marketing phone calls to those (ESM) Event Supervisors/Managers for confirmed bookings according to our travel route and schedule.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Conducting background research, evaluating time for travel and presentation preparation.
  • Reaching out to Event Supervisors/Managers (ESM) and scheduling Ramona's interview.
  • Following through until one event after another is a confirmed booking.
  • Familiarizing themselves with the travel route.
  • Determining audience size and temperment remotely.
  • Following up with ESMs to thank them for their participation.
  • Analyzing and reporting the metrics / results on a spreadsheet.

Bonus steps in the process would also include:

  • Recommending higher impact locations measuring air travel/lodging requiring a Fee charged.
  • The same data, marketing calls and criteria for the East Coast in Spring-October 2024
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Understanding of different temperaments across the US.
  • Factors that affect a fully booked in-person, travel trailer marketing route.
  • Understanding of a procedure from a cold contact to fully booked dedicated event location.
  • Analysis of testing results for this system of marketing a book in the USA.
  • Recommending improvements to the proposed script for telemarketing.

Bonus steps would include: The same done for an East Coast trip, Spring-Autumn 2024.

Final deliverables should include:

  • A final report.
  • A 10-minute presentation.

Students will connect directly with Ramona for mentorship throughout the project.

She will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Our website for the sale of our books.
  • Our current understanding of our website’s accessibility features
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

In order to complete this project, students can self-teach, but it is beneficial to be familiar with:

  • Online meeting platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Skype
  • UI / UX design principles

Nice to haves for students include:

  • Knowledge about user research methodologies and interviews

Again, students can complete this project without any of the prior knowledge listed here. Students will be expected to research and learn more about the above as the project goes along.
