Details

Positions available: One individual student

Due to COVID19, we are no longer able to run in-person fundraising events. We would like support around researching ways we can diversify our funds to keep our programs running. We have serve individuals with disabilities, including developmental disabilities, we are eager to explore opportunities related to setting up a social enterprise that not only expands the organization's financial independency, but can also involve our clients by providing them with an opportunity to learn new skills and have ownership on the project too.

Student should provide a report and/or an oral + visual presentation (via PowerPoint) outlining key findings and actionable recommendations to the company consisting of:

  1. Overview of Problem/Opportunity
  2. Summary of Research Findings
  3. Key Background and Insights
  4. Recommendations ( ex: suggest 3 detailed opportunities/directions we should take)
  5. Action Plan

The project and presentation should take 80hrs in total for 1 student to complete.

Mentorship

Our organization employs individuals with graduate training in social work, and disability studies. We will provide mentorship around understanding the needs of people with disabilities, and how to address diversity and inclusion in this project.
