Details

  1. Produce usable advocacy content: Generate a series of clear, policy‑oriented white papers that KARA can publish, share with legislators and journalists, and adapt into briefs, testimony, and public‑facing explainers.
  2. Expand issue coverage globally: Document how different countries handle child abuse, trauma, and child protection, creating comparative context and fresh examples KARA can use in its U.S. narrative work.
  3. Turn research into public language: Practice converting dense research and data into clear, accessible writing that ordinary people and policymakers can understand and act on.
  4. Build a pipeline of allies: Connect with emerging professionals (students) who may become long‑term partners, volunteers, or advocates aligned with KARA’s mission.
  5. Strengthen KARA’s credibility and reach: Grow KARA’s library of well‑researched, credited materials so the organization is increasingly seen as a go‑to source on child abuse, trauma, and child protection.

Deliverables

Create a body of knowledge for KARA social media, books, and presentations that will have a positive impact in the field of child protection, mental health of children, foster and adoption, and the many other areas related to childhood trauma and abuse.
