- What is the main goal for this project?

Parents of Black Children (PoBC) is looking for an individual to support our Outreach and Government Relation Analyst with writing and reporting government documents. We are also seeking support in data collection and analysis. We want to use data to illustrate Black students' harm within the education and adjacent systems.
We currently have a Government Relations and Outreach strategy for the year and are looking for an individual or team who can help us execute our strategy.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Create position papers outlining PoBC’s position on issues pertaining to Black children that can be leveraged by stakeholders to create systemic change
- Review government legislation and regulations that apply to Black children and clearly and simply explains how they impacts and repercussions this legislation can have and the areas of mitigation and dismantling that should be made
- Provides insight into the political and public administration process at the federal, provincial and municipal level to Parents of Black Children senior leaders
- Identify areas of advocacy and areas to push for change to facilitate equitable outcomes for Black students in Ontario’s education system
- Monitor key policy influencers and stakeholders across the region
- Analyze and evaluate research and interpret data, ensuring key issues are identified.
- Prepare background reports and briefing notes on selected studies, reports, and articles.
