Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

To complete the electrical design, device selection, and cost estimation in coordination with the process and mechanical engineering teams, of a high-pressure hydrogen dispensing system.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Working with PLC (programmable logic controllers), HMI (Human Machine Interface), electrical actuators, valves and circuits.

Selecting appropriate devices to ensure the proper working of all modules

Ensure design is in accordance with regulation


Produce engineering documents listed below:

-Single Line Diagram

-Electrical Bill of Material (BOM)

-Circuit design

-PLC Panel schedule

-Electrical General Arrangement (GA)

-Communication Architecture


Additional responsibilities might include:

-PID controller programming

-PLC programming


How will you support learners in completing the project?

-Provide background knowledge on the project

-Provide Technical advisors from industry and university professors for guidance

-Provide government regulations and documents for reading

-Provide sample drawings, designs, and documents to take reference from

-Provide lateral support between all 3 (chemical, mechanical, electrical) disciplines to ensure smooth and smooth integration

-Flexible work hours

-Remote work permitted

What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

-Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) or other programming language

-Experience with Battery Sizing, wiring, circuit design

-Experience with Single Line Diagrams and other electrical engineering drawings

-Experience with Rasberry Pi or other similar hardware

-People skill to coordinate closely with technical advisors and vendors
