A 50-hour, project-based experience for career-switching learners preparing for careers in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Submit an AI-focused project for the Skills Lab team to review. If approved, your project will be matched with 3–5 participants per team, contributing up to 250 hours of meaningful, real-world work.

Projects are fully remote, allowing flexible scheduling based on mutual availability between the employer and the student team.

This experience is designed for adult learners with foundational knowledge in machine learning, data modeling, programming (Python), and AI frameworks. The goal is to provide participants with practical experience developing AI solutions, training and evaluating models, and applying AI techniques to solve real-world business problems.

Learner Goals and Capabilities

Learners are eager to apply their AI Boot Camp training to authentic organizational challenges. Projects should provide participants the opportunity to:

1. Prepare, clean, and preprocess datasets for AI model development using Python, Pandas, and related libraries.
2. Build, train, and evaluate machine learning models (classification, regression, or clustering).
3. Build a lightweight no-code AI assistant using Gemini, Zapier, Airtable or Notion AI.
4. Apply AI techniques for tasks like predictive analytics, natural language processing (NLP), or image recognition.
5. Document their process and communicate technical results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. Collaborate effectively in a professional, team-based environment.

Participants seek hands-on, entry-level experience where they can deliver AI-driven solutions that add measurable value to the employer’s organization. Deliverables may include:

1. Create AI-assisted marketing workflows and brand engagement strategies.
2. Analyze our current workflows and recommend where generative AI tools could improve efficiency
3. Build a lightweight no-code AI assistant using Gemini, Zapier, Airtable or Notion AI.
4. Improve the quality and consistency of AI-generated customer support or marketing outputs.
5. Research how competitors are using generative AI and identify opportunities for our organization.
6. Evaluate our customer journey and recommend where AI tools could improve engagement.
7. Assess your business readiness for adopting AI tools.

Due to the short, remote format, projects must be well-defined and outcome-based. Please provide a clear, specific scope for the learners’ work.
