Our students in the Behavioural Sciences program can act as consultants to improve the overall product, service or specific part of the customer journey for your organisation's offering, by applying principles and practice from modern behavioural science. Students' expertise can be applied to:

- Data analysis.

- Survey Design and Analysis.

- Nudging, product/service stickiness and engagement.

- Process streamlining.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Deliverables are negotiable; students can provide:

  • A 7-10k word report presenting rigorous analysis of the issue at hand.
  • Usually will include some statistical inference from data to give predictions and recommendations.
  • Might also include some novel data collection / experimental design.

There is a wide variety of applications for our work. Successful projects in the past include:

  • Boosting cancer screening rates through text messaging
  • Designing a planning card to promote breastfeeding maintenance
  • Nudging healthy eating using choice architecture in vending machines
  • Evaluating a Pay What You Decide pricing experiment at the Glasgow Film Theatre
  • Increasing adherence to physical training through a weekly planner
  • Understanding the decision to become a tissue donor
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Provide data e.g. share date on sales OR provide data collection opportunities e.g. send a survey link to stakeholders so the student can collect survey responses

Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.

Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.
