Learner goals and capabilities

A team of student-consultants will produce a comprehensive strategic analysis, identifying a competitive advantage and action plan for your organization within the U.S. sport and recreation industry.

Expected outcomes and deliverables
  • A written report with research findings, competitive analysis, and implications for your organization.
  • A 12 to 15-minute presentation with Q&A.
Project Examples

Starting this February, a team of student-consultants will dedicate 100+ hours to developing an actionable strategic plan for your organization.

Student-consultants will research and analyze the internal and external environment of your organization. Based on their findings, they will outline a strategic plan to create a competitive advantage that will assist in achieving your organizational goals.

Project examples include , but are not limited to:

  • Identifying new channels or partners that can help grow your business.
  • Identifying new market segments.
  • Evaluating your organization's capabilities to execute a strategic change.
  • Competitive and external analysis of your industry and its implications on your business.
Additional company criteria

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.

Provide a dedicated contact who will be available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address student’s questions or provide additional information.

Minimum of 2-4 interactions with the students in-person or remotely (approximately 4-6 hours over the duration of the project).
