Do you need to plan an event? In this assignment, student-consultants will work in groups to help you design, implement and evaluate an event of your choosing. Depending on your needs, students can assist with schedule of activities, venue design, budgeting, volunteer and staffing plans, risk management strategies, procurement recommendations, communication plan, and event evaluation. Note: one-time events are best-suited for this project.

Students will present a completed event plan based on your needs. This plan can include, but is not limited to:

  • Venue and vendor recommendations, with quotes where possible
  • Budget
  • Event scope management
  • Event timeline
  • F&B Menu(s)
  • Stakeholder management
  • Sponsorship and/or vendor packages (decks that can be shared with prospective partners)
  • Human resources management
  • Event design and site management
  • Trend analysis
  • Risk register & Risk assessment
  • Event advertisement plan (Promotional materials, including email campaign copy and social posts)

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Help the student event by providing helpful resources, such as: Facilities, participants, equipment and supplies, budget as needed

Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.

Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.
