  • Submit a project here between September 15th 2025 and November 7th 2025 for the Riipen and ASU teams to review. 
  • Once approved, students will apply to your project and you can review their applications to select your match
  • Projects in this experience are suitable for students at beginner and intermediate levels, and should require 30 hours of work. 
  • Projects can start from October 1st 2025 and must be completed by December 5th 2025

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Project Requirements:

  1. Have clearly defined outcomes explaining the work that needs to be completed
  2. Have a specific time commitment and project timeline
  3. Have clearly defined skill requirements for the work (skills required and proficiency level)
  4. Clearly explained experience / subject matter knowledge to complete the project
  5. Clearly defined support and resources available to the student for them to complete the project successfully

Project examples

Students working on Special 30 Hour Projects are typically at an intermediate to advanced skill level, and can support your department with: 


  • Data visualization and dashboard creation
  • Coding and web development
  • Technical Research
  • User experience mapping/feedback (UX) 
  • Technical writing
  • Market research


Deliverables will vary depending on the project scope. At the conclusion of the project you will have assets that can be used to further your goals.
